New Bioactive Aromatic Heterocyclic Macromolecules with Monosaccharide Core

1,1,2-trimethyl-1H-benzo[e]indole is an important heterocyclic compound, its available in reasonable price and can easily modified to make a good intermediate for other derivatives. That quite enough reasons use as starting material new series of compounds with biomolecules such monosaccharides after simple modification. The target molecules show biological activity. So, the current work aiming improve activity properties benzo indole by attaching naturally occurring, biodegradable represented 2-deoxy-2-amino -d-glucose 6-deoxy-6-amino-d-glucose synthesis both mono di-saccharides derivatives indole. Two steps were used mono-saccharide three di-saccharide derivatives, first functionalization [1] via reaction POCl3 produce 2-(1,1-dimethyl-1H-benzo[e]indol-2(3H)-ylidene) malonaldehyde [2] two aldehydes centers, while second step latter was coupled sugar amino groups get monosaccharide [3,5], disaccharides [4,6] taken one more harder conditions overcome steric hindrance at center. purity characterization confirmed using spectroscopy methods including 1H NMR 13 NMR. synthesized compound shows antibacterial antifungal.
